Equality NC PAC Unanimously Endorses Powerful Slate of Pro-Equality Champions for 2026

RALEIGH, N.C.June 1, 2026 –The Equality NC Political Action Committee (ENC PAC) has finalized its official candidate endorsement slate for the 2026 midterm elections. Following a unanimous vote, the organization is mobilizing its statewide grassroots network to elect leaders who will fiercely protect LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and Black and Brown communities across North Carolina.

The comprehensive slate covers everything from federal and statewide judicial seats to critical legislative and municipal races, emphasizing Equality NC’s focus on building progressive power at every single level of local government.

"The stakes for North Carolina have never been higher," said Eliazar Posada-Orozco, Jr., Executive Director of Equality NC. "Right-wing extremists continue to weaponize the law to target our community, attack diversity, and dismantle reproductive freedom. This slate represents the future of our state. These are the leaders who will fight to repeal discriminatory laws like H.B. 808 and make sure our community actually has a seat at the table."

The 2026 lineup features federal champions like Representatives Deborah Ross, Valerie Foushee, and Alma Adams, alongside key judicial defenders like NC Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls. The slate also heavily prioritizes critical defensive holds and pickup opportunities within the North Carolina General Assembly, alongside local grassroots candidates in Wake, Mecklenburg, Orange, Cabarrus, and Buncombe counties.
